New at California's Great America for 2008 is Firefall. Firefall is a Huss Top Spin ride that is heavily themed with water and fire effects. 40 riders rise and spin over water while volcanoes erupt with flames. Guests are surprised at the end by being suspended over a fiery lake that makes bystanders move back due to the heat. Click the above picture to watch a video. |

My latest video adventure was at Heavenly Ski Resort at Lake Tahoe, CA. I did a video on the Heavenly Flyer, a zip line ride that sits at the top of the mountain at 9,100 ft and descends 525 ft at 40-50 mph in 80 seconds. While the ride looks intimidating, it's quite an amazing ride and after the first 3 seconds or so you really love being on it. The view of Lake Tahoe is second to none and flying above all the trees, snow and skiers is an experience that I will never forget.
